I've always been interested in other cultures different than my own. I've wanted to experience term or sensation "culture shock" ever since I figured out what it meant. I've found it to be interesting just learning how other people do and live differently than I do. As a kid, I was always eager to learn about Egyptian, Greek, Indian and African cultures. Anything that was so insanely hard to believe-- I'd get those eye witness movies from the library and watch them over and over again. I went to school with two Arabic girls and I was always interested in learning about what they were going to do over winter break and what their Henna tattoos were for. As Ive grown up more, I've stumbled upon differences in everyday culture such as religion-- such the difference in Christianity from growing up Presbyterian and then attending a Catholic church with a friend one Sunday. I've also thought it was cool to see how different cultures have changed over the years.
I think culture is a group of people's beliefs, their ideals, how they go out and have fun after work. I think it is the music they listen to, their traditions, their moral standards. I think that culture is one of the big things that make a person involved interesting. It is who we are.
